What to do if you smell propane
We take propane leaks very seriously and recommend quick action to even suspected leaks. Propane is an odorless, colorless gas. In order for it to be recognizable, manufacturers deliberately add a recognizable and unpleasant smell. It is often described as smelling like a skunk or rotten eggs. If you smell this, you need to react immediately.
If safe to do so, turn off your (turn clock wise) propane tanks. This valve looks just like the valve on a grill’s propane tank. Do not turn on or turn off any light switches as these can be a source of ignition. Contact your local branch immediately so they can dispatch a technician.
